My relationship with Syncona spans a five year period as Design Director of a team working to develop their brand and reporting suite.
Their brand developed substantially over this period as their need to tell a broader and more detailed investor story has increased.
This development encompassed the creation a suite of imagery that captured their unique work in the field of gene and cell therapy, art direction of a series of films with key stakeholders around the impact of their work, an ongoing refinement of their visual language, and the design and direction of four annual reports.
A five year journey of development
As well as developing their annual report from a best practice point of view, I’ve worked with Syncona to refine their brand language and create a series of reports and documents that expanded in detail and richness over time. The following is a small selection of how their reporting has developed.
2020 Annual Report
The 2020 report took cues from my work on the Syncona Capital Markets Day presentation to refresh the Syncona brand and to introduce new forms and colours with a greater use of texture and infographics.
